THESSALY RAILWAY: On 25 October 1882, the Sidirodromos Thessalias (STHS) was founded, the establishment of which was approved by royal decree of 30 October 1882. The company's share capital was 23.000.000 drachmas divided into 92.000 shares of a nominal value of 250 drachmas. The main task of the company initially was the operation of the lines Larissa - Volos and Volos - Kalambaka. Later he undertook the exploitation of the line Volos - Milies. In 1955 they were merged into SEK.
